How It Started
Our Story
Virtual Professionals is led by Winifred Obam, an Executive Virtual Assistant and Communication Professional with hands-on experience supporting businesses across Canada, the United Kingdom, and Nigeria.
Before remote work became mainstream, Winifred transitioned out of traditional employment shortly before the global lockdowns. During this period, she began providing flexible virtual support to consulting and fashion organizations, helping teams stay organized, communicate effectively, and maintain operations during uncertain times.
After briefly returning to in-person work post-lockdown, one thing became clear:

In 2022, Winifred began working with an international podcast and remote teams based in Canada, supporting founders with systems, scheduling, coordination, and project execution. These experiences, combined with work across consulting, education, psychotherapy, and media, revealed a recurring challenge — businesses needed Virtual Assistants who were not just available, but professional, skilled, and accountable.
